All of these dreams might find their way into my day to day scene…

Photographs are by far my most favourite thing. I love shots that I have taken, ones my friends have taken and also images where I don’t know who has taken them. Photographs capture moments in an ingenious way and hours can be passed admiring them. I think it is fantastic when photography is used in fashion design, as it achieves an effortlessly, but beautifully cool look like nothing else. It brings a whole new depth to a piece of clothing and gives you a real chance to express yourself and your sentiments via fashion.

Two of my favourite casual pieces of all time are styled with photo graphics and I can’t get enough of them, as you can combine them with anything within an ensemble and it looks fantastic. A simple photograph t-shirt, looks good with florals, plains, knits, denim…you name it, it looks fabulous. Obviously you have to really love and appreciate what the snapshots on the clothing are of, however if you can’t find the exact thing you desire it is easy enough to use transferable printing paper and iron your own design onto a plain t-shirt. Yes this does mean a careful hand wash every so often, which seems like a little too much effort I agree, however it will be exciting to wear every time and it cancels out the risk of , god forbid crossing somebody’s path in the exact same threads as you. Scenic images, or natural photographs of friends in different settings can be brilliant designs for a distinctive and authentic look. Adding sepia tones, or playing around with the contrast settings on the photographs you choose, will add an edge to the appearance of the pictures and also make them less personal and more professional to onlookers.

My choice of photographic images for delightful, eye-catching t-shirts, are those which utilise musical influences, such as featuring a guitar for a relaxed, rock and roll vibe. Alternatively, I really enjoy the use of simple, romantic black and white shots, which can be really effective and sophisticated for anytime of the day, whether dressing casual or  glam.

My favourite photograph t-shirt for men that has recently stormed at Topman is the Rihanna special that is extremely sexy and quirky, perfect for creating a great cheeky ensemble. Women are actually an ideal theme for this fashion statement full stop, whether they are famous or anonymous, like for example the retro Playboy cover t-shirts that are super masculine, but slightly charming with their artistic undertones and general display of appreciation for the female form. The perfect combination some may say…

This is quite simply the most adorable garment I have set my eyes upon in a long time…every baby girl should have one of these cosy, gorgeous faux fur snow suits to brace the winter elements with in the most stylish of ways, brought to you by Baker Baby, by Ted Baker. I believe this is an absolute must in every baby girl’s wardrobe… so overwhelmingly cute!  May every little girly tot, resemble a fluffy bear cub this winter…Me broody? Nooooo…

Dead weather…

When in the warm and cosy frame of mind, I must admitt I find it challenging to even imagine throwing glamour into the mix. Whilst we are vastly approaching the cooler months, I find myself naturally exploring ideas that will inspire me to have  just as much fun dressing in winter, as I do when experimenting with flirty, summer daytime clobber. Impossible some may think, nevertheless whilst mooching around the highstreet recently a few things have caught my eye and heightened my enthusiasm somewhat, towards approaching casual wintery wardrobe options.

A gorgeous knit I have stumbled across in Next  (often a very dark horse that should never be ignored during a humble shopping trip) is adorable with its feminine peachy, cream tones and admirably plays around with upcoming festive trends, boasting some delightful sequin stripes and quirky elbow pads, adding just the right amount of glitz to this piece, as it is still very classy and flattering. This would be a very reliable choice that could be worn effortlessly with  classic black leggings, or jeans and look totally charming everytime.  Sequins can really illuminate an outfit with a great deal of integrity, when done in the correct way, as it is in this instance. This leads me to think of many more ideas around how I can add a bit of sparkle in a dignified manner to my looks this season…

Alternatively,  I tempt you to venture over to the darker side as I did, when I recently purchased a beautiful plain grey off -the-shoulder knit from always sought after store, Forever 21

No sequins present here, but the beautifully grungey shade of grey and loose fitting shape  make the jumper mature and sexy, in an understated way and it hangs in all the right places…simple yet satisfying.  Being so plain, this piece can be teamed with some heavy metal jewellery to create a beautifully composed look with minimum effort, perfect for those slouchy nights in that many of us will be frequenting more and more at this time of year. To make plain knits more exciting still, a pretty lacy top poking out a tad will slightly tease onlookers and make the ensemble more alluring. I love how this style works so harmoniously with a little intricate, gothic detail.

In conclusion…let us not allow casual comfort to be frumpy, but lucious and exquisite… hurrahhh!!
